My husband and I fell in love with
Tervueren in 1971 when we bought our first female,
Partner´s Con Anima, from kennel Partner. We liked her so much that we bought her younger sister, Partner´s Dirke, the year after. We then discovered that it was very fun to work with them and since they were excellent in tracking that was the first discipline that we competed in. Soon we started training and competing in searching as well. We participated in dog shows and Dirke became Norwegian and Finnish Show Champion. We decided to have a litter and the kennel started in 1977. Dirke got a lovely litter of 7 (5+2) puppies sired by Norw. Ch Adonis du Boscaille. The most famous of the puppies was Int Ch Sw Ch Subtils Livius, who sired about 150 puppies and who competed in tracking and searching with good results. Together with kennel Foxfire, Ulla-Carin Totney, we imported two males, Orient v Mezzaselva from Switzerland and Akka v der Moosfluh from Germany. Unfortunately Orient had hip dysplasia so we gave him away to a very nice family, where he lived happily until he died at the age of 13.
Akka sired about 90 puppies, and many
of them became famous show dogs and working dogs. One of his daughters,
Azona´s Thua-Phuma, came to live with us and she got two litters in our
kennel. The first was sired by Subtils Livius (3+4) and we got two
Obedience Champions, one Work. Champion and three Show Champions. Five
of them did the Swedish Mentality Test with excellent results. We kept
one of the females, Sw Ch Subtils Flamme for breeding and working
purposes. She had a litter with Sw Ch Continental´s Hercules and out of
that litter came very nice social puppies. |

In 1995 we bought our
first Malinois, a Norwegian male, Zagal´s Zorro, a fantastic dog. He still
lives with us and he has many titles: Sw Work. Ch, IPO3, BHP3, Korad (The
Swedish Mentality Test) and apart from that he competes in the highest
level in tracking and obedience. He has sired one litter that seem to be
very promising. At the age of 9 he started a new career as a security dog.
Not bad! |

We have a young male with us now who will hopefully go in Zorro´s footsteps, Blackneck´s Uran, or Solo, as we call him. You can read more about these dogs on other pages in this homepage. Happy reading! |
